Girls on the Run is an empowering organization that helps build self-confidence in each girl. They envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. This organization is proud to have served over 2 million girls in the past 20 years and recognize that many girls face seen and unseen challenges and barriers that make reaching their potential more difficult for them than their peers.  As Gamma Phi's, we feel honored to work with Girls on the Run!

Our annual auction is our biggest philanthropy event of the year! The evening silent auction is filled with family, dancing, eating, and a little bit of friendly competition. After weeks of preparing, we showcase the numerous donations on display for our families and alumnae to place bids on. Items range from holiday gift baskets to week long getaways in Hawaii. The proceeds go to supporting both local and national Girls on the Run programs. We love coming together as a house and meeting everyone's families while raising money to continue our mission of Building Strong Girls. This year we exceeded our goals and raised over $23,000!

Our annual on-campus philanthropy encourages the UW Greek community to participate in raising money for Girls on the Run while creating a little friendly competition among other houses. All chapters have the opportunity to buy-in to our weeklong series of events including a lip-sync battle, spike ball, and our final Moonball Dunk Contest! Each spring, we love watching our friends get involved in the competitions and help us support the Girls on the Run mission of building strong girls.
